The Chinese crocodile lizard (Shinisaurus crocodilurus) is a rare and fascinating reptile native to the cool, mountainous forests of southern China and northern Vietnam. It inhabits slow-moving, shaded streams where it spends much of its time basking on branches or rocks near water. This lizard is notable for its armoured, crocodile-like appearance, with thick, ridged scales and a long, muscular tail. Unlike many reptiles, it is semi-aquatic and exhibits a relatively slow metabolism, often remaining motionless for long periods.
Although the morph is called translucent, it does not look so in apperance. The translucent genes make them appear darker than a regular morphed Chinese Crocodile Lizard.
Adult Length: 40-45cm
Life Span: 10-15years
Breeding Age: ~3 Years
Please do extensive research into the care requirements for this reptile before purchasing.
