The Midline Knob-Tailed Gecko (Nephrurus vertebralis) is a small, nocturnal lizard native to the arid regions of Australia. Its distinctive feature is a prominent knob-like structure at the base of its tail, believed to aid in camouflage and balance. With a flattened body and cryptic colouring, it blends seamlessly into its rocky habitat, making it elusive to predators and researchers alike. Primarily insectivorous, it preys on small insects and arachnids using its keen senses.
